Menopause
Menopause is a natural transition, but it does not have to be something you manage alone. The years leading up to menopause — called perimenopause — can bring a range of symptoms that affect sleep, comfort, mood, and quality of life.
Common symptoms of perimenopause and menopause include hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disruption, vaginal dryness, urinary changes, mood shifts, and irregular periods. Symptoms vary widely from person to person and can begin years before the final menstrual period.
Abnormal bleeding during the perimenopause transition still deserves evaluation. And any bleeding after menopause should always be discussed with an OB/GYN — it is not a normal part of postmenopause and can sometimes indicate an underlying condition that needs attention.
Management options range from lifestyle guidance to hormonal and non-hormonal treatments depending on your symptoms, health history, and personal preferences. The goal is to find an approach that makes the transition more comfortable and supports your long-term health.
